Terms and Conditions

1. Dates/Terms/Eligibility:

The SATA Azores Airlines Launch Package promotion begins November 1, 2023 and ends December 31, 2023.  No purchase necessary. Eligible agents may enter once each day during the promotion via the online promotion opt in entry form, completing the game, watching on demand webinars, registering for the SATA Azores Airlines Travel Agent Specialist program, and booking SATA Azores Airlines through the GDS system.

Eligible group bookings must be SATA Azores Airlines operated flights from the following gateways: (New York (JFK), Boston (BOS), or Oakland (OAK)) through the GDS system or by booking through the travel agent support line (480)-447-6502). Tickets must be issued and published fares from the USA on SATA Azores Airlines operated flights and issued between November 1, 2023 and December 31, 2023 with travel dates to be consumer by March 31, 2024.

The promotion is only open to eligible travel agents in the USA with a valid IATA or TIDS number and who are in good standing with SATA Azores Airlines. Void where prohibited. Eligible travel agents must be legal residents of the USA must be at least 18 years of age.

Odds of winning depend upon the number eligible entries received.

2. How to Enter:

There are several ways to accumulate entries into the contest; details can be found on the promotional website:

WAYS TO ENTER:

• Book SATA Azores Airlines from one of the following USA gateways: New York (JFK), Boston (BOS), or Oakland (OAK). Bookings can be made through the GDS system = 10 entries
• Register for the SATA Azores Airlines Travel Agent Specialist Program on sataspecialist.com . =  5 entries
• Watch an on demand webinar = 3 entry
• Complete the daily game = 1 entry per game
• Opt in to the promotion. Must include name, travel agency, and email address. = 1 entry

3. Prizes:

GRAND PRIZE

Grand Prize includes:

3 grand prizes will be awarded by random draw after the promotion ends.
Grand prize includes (Blackout dates apply):

• Two roundtrip economy class tickets on SATA Azores Airlines from the USA (JFK, BOS, OAK) to any SATA destination.

Grand Prize Winner
The Approximate Retail Value (ARV) of the Grand Prize including 2 economy class tickets is a total APR of USD $2,000.

4. Prize Selection:

a. The SATA Azores Airlines promotion Grand Prize winner will be chosen by a random drawing from all eligible ticket and game entries. Drawing for the Grand Prize will be conducted on or about April 10, 2024 and awarded after eligible entry has been verified.

b. All airline ticket entries will go toward to the agency of the agent who booked. If that entry is selected, a random agent who opted into the promotion will need to provide the booking details of their entry. The entry must have been booked between November 1, 2023 and December 31, 2023 with travel from November 1, 2023 to March 31, 2024. If the booking is valid for the promotion guidelines, they will be selected as a winner.

c. Note: Winners of all above prizes will be notified by e-mail and required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility/Release of Liability and Publicity form. Noncompliance will result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. All drawings and prize awards for this promotion will be conducted in Scottsdale, AZ by an independent marketing/judging organization whose decision is final in all matters relating to the giveaways. Odds of winning a prize by drawing depend upon the total number of eligible entries received. In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of the person submitting the online entry, the entry submitted by the person in whose name the e-mail account is registered will be considered the entrant.

5. Conditions:

1. Valid for 2 adults
2. Valid for a period of one (1) year
3. Prize is not transferable to a third party, refundable in cash or transferable to other airlines. They cannot be sold, exchanged or extended after the expiration date nor are route changes allowed
4. All hotel taxes are included
5. Airplane tickets are valid for travel by SATA Azores Airlines
6. Tickets issued as part of this contract are special tickets that will have no cost except for the corresponding taxes. The respective taxes and fees that apply to these tickets must be fully assumed by the winner; SATA Azores Airlines does not assume the cost of taxes on these tickets
7. SATA Azores Airlines is not responsible for the documentation, papers, or identification that each passenger needs to travel
8. This ticket does not provide for exemption of baggage or overweight discount
9. No additional discounts apply to published rates. It cannot be used in conjunction with another promotion

Prizes or awards are non-transferable, and non-refundable. Cash or credit alternatives will not be offered. Prize winner and companion must travel together on all dates/flights and are responsible for all required travel documents (i.e.: valid passports, visas, inoculations, etc.). Winner must be a valid IATA or TIDS agent in good standing with SATA Azores Airlines at the time the prizes are awarded, at least 18 years of age and a legal U.S. resident. Prize email letters will be issued to the winners. Winners must make reservations and request tickets at least 30 days in advance of preferred departure date. Seats are capacity controlled and subject to availability at the time of booking. SATA Azores Airlines award letter will indicate validity date of prizes.   SATA Azores Airlines condition of carriage shall apply to all air transportation. Award tickets are valid for Economy Class of service on SATA Azores Airlines. Upgrades are not permitted. SATA Azores Airlines is not responsible for the payment of government and airport taxes imposed by the city of origin or destination. Such taxes must be paid when the tickets are issued.

Travel must be taken before November 30, 2024.

Grand Prize:
Prize is valid until December 15, 2024.  Blackout dates vary depending on the property and are subject to availability.  Departures are valid from any SATA Azores Airlines gateway in the United States.

Due to limited number of seats available, travel may not be available on preferred travel dates. Travel is allowed on flights operated by SATA Azores Airlines. No travel is permitted on codeshare flights.

By participating in this promotion or the incentive awards, the winner or entrant grants the promoters permission to use their name and likeness for advertising and future promotional purposes without additional compensations (except where prohibited). Grand Prize winners and companions will depart from New York (JFK). Winners travel to/from these gateway cities will be at the winner's expense. Winners are liable for any tax liability accruing as a result of this promotion. This promotion is void where prohibited. Online entrants must have a valid e-mail address and it is the entrant's responsibility to update SATA Azores Airlines of any change in their e-mail address. No transfer, assignment or substitution of a prize is permitted by any winner. Entrants agree to be bound by the terms of these Official Rules and by the decisions of SATA Azores Airlines, which are final and binding on all matters pertaining to this promotion.

By participating in this promotion, entrants (and any travel companion of entrants) agree to release and hold harmless SATA Azores Airlines, its officers, directors, employees, and agents (the "Released Parties") from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in this promotion, or receipt or use of any prize, including, but not limited to: (a) unauthorized human intervention in the promotion; (b) technical errors related to computers, servers, providers, or telephone or network lines; (c) printing errors; (d) lost, late, postage-due, misdirected, or undeliverable mail; (e) errors in the administration of the promotion or the processing of entries; or (f) injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant's participation in the promotion or acceptance, receipt use or misuse of any prize. Entrant further agrees that in any cause of action, the Released Parties' liability will be limited to the cost of entering and participating in the promotion, and in no event shall the Released Parties be liable for attorney's fees. Entrant waives the right to claim any damages whatsoever, including, but not limited to, punitive, incidental, consequential, direct, or indirect damages. SATA Azores Airlines is not responsible if any prize cannot be awarded due to travel cancellations, delays or interruptions due to acts of God, acts of war, natural disasters, weather or acts of terrorism.

This promotion is not combinable nor endorsable or valid in conjunction with any other promotions.

6. Privacy:

Participation in the contest constitutes consent by the entrants to the collection, use and disclosure of personal information by the sponsors and administrators as provided for in the rules and to administer the contest and to notify the winners and entrants and to publicize the contest. By entering this promotion, entrants acknowledge that they have read and understood and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

7. Winners' Names:

For the names of the prize winners, send a letter to the sponsor. Names of the winners will be sent when the promotion is over and prizes have been awarded. Requests for the names of the winners must be received by June 15, 2024.
